The stability of unevenly spaced planetary systems

چکیده
Studying the orbital stability of multi-planet systems is essential to understand planet formation, estimate stable time an observed planetary system, and advance population synthesis models. Although previous studies have primarily focused on ideal characterized by uniform separations, in reality a diverse range separations exists among planets within same system. This study focuses investigating dynamical with non-uniform separation. We considered system 10 masses 10−7 solar around central star mass 1 mass. performed more than 100,000 runs N-body simulations different parameters. Results demonstrate that reducing merely one pair spacing leads order magnitude shorter crossing times could be formulated based Keplerian periods closest separation pair. Furthermore, first collisions are found closely associated encounter likely initially. conclude when estimating colliding pairs realistic situation, updating formula derived for evenly spaced would necessary.

Variance Analysis of Unevenly Spaced Time Series Data
We have investigated the effect of uneven data spacing on the computation of u,(r). Evenly spaced simulated dclh s& were generated for noise processes ranging from white PM to random walk EM. u,(T) was then calculated for each noise type. Daka were subsequently removed from mch simulated data set using typical TWSTFT data patterns to create lwo unevenly spaced sets with average intervals of 2.8...
متن کاملThe (in)stability of Planetary Systems
We present results of numerical simulations which examine the dynamical stability of known planetary systems, a star with two or more planets. First we vary the initial conditions of each system based on observational data. We then determine regions of phase space which produce stable planetary configurations. For each system we perform 1000∼ 106 year integrations. We examine υ And, HD83443, GJ...
متن کاملSpectrum: Spectral Analysis of Unevenly Spaced Paleoclimatic Time Series
ÐA menu-driven PC program (SPECTRUM) is presented that allows the analysis of unevenly spaced time series in the frequency domain. Hence, paleoclimatic data sets, which are usually irregularly spaced in time, can be processed directly. The program is based on the Lomb±Scargle Fourier transform for unevenly spaced data in combination with the Welch-Overlapped-Segment-Averaging procedure. SPECTRU...
متن کاملA Framework for the Analysis of Unevenly Spaced Time Series Data
This paper presents methods for analyzing and manipulating unevenly spaced time series without a transformation to equally spaced data. Processing and analyzing such data in its unaltered form avoids the biases and information loss caused by resampling. Care is taken to develop a framework consistent with a traditional analysis of equally spaced data, as in Brockwell and Davis (1991), Hamilton ...
